Three movements, one impulse
Research, Health, Creation
We look for what gesture knows and words let slip: we record it, we archive it, we make it legible. That work looks first at the bodies producing it — those who dance, play, carry, care, labour, and wear out. And for any of it to last, it has to be paid for: that is what creation does. Three movements, then, and a single impulse. And none of it holds without one simple condition: that the tools are ours.
How it holds together
A loop, not three drawers
The three movements are not services sitting side by side: each one makes the next possible.
Creation pays for it
The commissions we take on — animation, video games, immersive experience, performance direction — pay for the licences, the upkeep of the equipment, the technical watch and the new acquisitions. That is what SOLIBO Studio is for.
The equipment makes us sovereign
Those suits, those sensors, those portable rigs are ours. We record a practice where it actually lives — a yard, a temple, a classroom — without asking anyone’s permission, and the data stays here. Owning the tool means deciding what gets recorded, what is kept, and who has access to it.
The research returns to the bodies
What the archive reveals about the body in motion goes back to the people who carry it: prevention, training, transmission. And those same bodies feed the next piece of research.
None of this belongs to a private company. Séquences Éphémères is a project of the Anisotropie association, a non-profit based in Martinique, led by its artistic director Georges-Emmanuel Arnaud. The equipment belongs to the association: it stays here, in the service of the project.
