Working together
Working together is how we work.
We believe technology only matters when it connects people — artists, researchers, technicians, students, audiences.
Our studio and our tools are open to anyone who wants to experiment, observe, measure, create, or simply understand differently. Here we pool knowledge and practice, from gesture to image, from movement to data.
What we do together
We move forward with those who want to explore, understand or create differently. Our work always begins with an encounter — between disciplines, between practices, between people. Whether artist, researcher, technician or student, each person brings their own way of seeing, and together we bring new forms into being. Our role is to widen the field of the possible: to connect gesture and thought, technology and the living, knowledge and intuition. Working together means learning, experimenting and collectively building experiences that mean something.
Six ways of working with us
In practice
Creation & motion capture
We record body, face and hand motion for artistic, scientific and educational projects. Whether it is a short sequence, a performance or a game prototype, we support creators at every stage: capture, transfer, integration into Blender, Unreal Engine or MotionBuilder.
Research & experimentation
The studio collaborates with researchers, engineers, artists and institutions on subjects spanning biomechanics, perception and digital creation. Our set-ups make it possible to collect, analyse and visualise the dynamics of the body, of gesture and of interpretation.
Digital twins
With our partners, we digitise objects, faces and heritage sites in order to document, conserve and pass them on differently. This data can be integrated into 3D environments, VR experiences or interactive archives.
Training & transmission
We work in schools, residencies, institutions and events to share knowledge around motion capture, digital storytelling and new media. Workshops, talks, masterclasses: every meeting is an exchange.
Co-productions & partnerships
We support studios, collectives and project leads looking for human and technical backing without going through large structures. The idea: to make prototypes, scenes and experiences easier to build, peer to peer.
A mobile studio
Our equipment is fully portable. We can work at Studio K-Area, but also on location — in a school, a museum, a theatre or an outdoor space. That mobility is central to our philosophy: if you cannot come to us, we come to you.
