We believe that technology only makes sense when it connects people - artists, researchers, technicians, students, or the public. Our studio and tools are open to all those who wish to experiment, observe, measure, create or simply understand in a different way. Here, we share knowledge and practices, from gesture to image, from movement to data.
We move forward with those who wish to explore, understand or create differently.
Our work is always born of encounters - between disciplines, between practices, between people.
Whether artist, researcher, technician or student, each brings his or her own way of seeing, and together we bring new forms to life.
Our role is to open up the field of possibilities: to link gesture and thought, technology and the living world, knowledge and intuition.
Collective Making, is about learning, experimenting and building meaningful collective experiences.
We produce motion, face and hand capture for artistic, scientific or educational projects. Whether it's a short sequence, a performance or a game prototype, we support creators every step of the way: capture, transfer, integration into Blender, Unreal Engine or MotionBuilder.
The studio collaborates with researchers, engineers, artists and institutions on subjects combining biomechanics, perception and digital creation. Our devices enable us to collect, analyze and visualize the dynamics of the body, gesture and interpretation.
Together with our partners, we digitize objects, faces and heritage sites to document, preserve and transmit them in new ways. These data can be integrated into 3D environments, VR experiences or interactive archives.
We take part in schools, residencies, institutions and events to share our knowledge of motion capture, digital storytelling and new media. Workshops, lectures, masterclasses: every encounter is an exchange experience.
We support studios, collectives and project leaders who are looking for human and technical support without going through large structures. The idea is to facilitate the creation of prototypes, stages or experiments, on a peer-to-peer basis.
Our equipment is completely portable. We can work at the K-Area studio, but also on site, in schools, museums, theaters or natural spaces. This mobility is at the heart of our philosophy: if you can't come to us, we'll come to you.
Do you have a project, an idea, research or a desire to collaborate?
Let's write, experiment and share.
